A Letter to My Readers (July 2025)
Please enjoy this new short story about Tony & Kate’s very first date! Set between ICE BLUE (book 1) and BLUE MURDER (book 2), it tells the story of a non-murder, non-policework outing that I hope you’ll find both fun and charming.

A Letter to My Readers (March 2025)
First, I’d like to thank you all for your kind words, loyalty, and patience. Especially patience!
Second, allow me to thank you for buying one of my books or checking one out from the library. Events beyond our control are hitting authors, especially independent authors like me, hard. When you buy one of my books, or a library stocks one of my books, it makes it possible for me to continue writing for publication.
New readers always ask, “Will there be more Lord & Lady Hetheridge books?”
Yes, absolutely. I can’t imagine myself without the Hetheridges. Even as I get ready to publish London Blue, a tiny glimmer of book nine, Bolt from the Blue, is forming in the back of my mind.
New readers also ask, “What else have you written?”
I’m thrilled to tell you about the Dr. Benjamin Bones Mysteries. Set in 1940s Cornwall, they follow the adventures of Ben Bones, a young doctor chosen by his government to serve a rural community during World War II. As the widower and native Londoner adjusts to life in the tiny village of Birdswing, where the tiniest nugget of gossip can keep tongues wagging for weeks, he meets a fiery aristocrat named Lady Juliet. Together, they discover a taste for solving mysteries—and love along the way. Packed with great characters, a sweeping romance, and complex mysteries, the Dr. Benjamin Bones series is a perfect choice for anyone waiting (patiently or impatiently) for another Hetheridge book.
I’m also starting a new adventure-mystery series called Skullduggery. Populated with Brits, Americans, cryptid monsters, phantasms, and an ancient society beneath the oceans, it’s a story I’ve been working on for twenty-five years. I can’t wait for you to read book one, Hunting the Beast, which will arrive in 2025.
I also write the Jem Jago Mysteries, published by Bookouture. Set in the Isles of Scilly, an English archipelago off the coast of Cornwall, it concerns Jemima Jago—librarian, thirty-something singleton, and intrepid amateur sleuth. There are five books in all, and they contain some of my funniest scenes.
