A Letter to My Readers (March 2026)
I’m so pleased to share two pieces of news that have left me both happy and humbled.
First, I recently learned I’ve sold well over 1 million books. That isn’t counting freebie downloads–only sales! The news took me by surprise and left me grinning from ear to ear.
Second, my novel London Blue (Lord & Lady Hetheridge Book 8) has won a literary award. I’m both grateful and a little embarrassed to spread the news myself, but my faithful promotion advisor (she knows who she is!) says I can’t hide my light under a bushel.
So here’s the press release:

New York Times Bestselling Author Emma Jameson Earns Gold Recognition for London Blue
PALM SPRINGS, CA — March 16, 2025 — New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Emma Jameson has been named a Gold Finalist for her novel London Blue, earning top honors in the inaugural Crime Fiction Indie Gold Awards, which recognize outstanding achievement in independent mystery, thriller, and suspense writing.
Jameson’s London Blue stood out among entries from around the world, securing its place among an elite group of gold-level honorees in a highly competitive field of crime fiction authors.
Best known for her beloved Lord & Lady Hetheridge series, Jameson has built a loyal international readership with her signature blend of sharp wit, romance, and richly atmospheric British settings. With over a million books sold, she remains one of the most recognizable voices in contemporary cozy mystery fiction.
London Blue continues that tradition, delivering a compelling mystery wrapped in the elegance and intrigue of London—a setting Jameson brings vividly to life through her lifelong love of England and its culture.
“I’m absolutely honored to have London Blue recognized at this level,” said Jameson. “Independent authors pour their hearts into their work, often without the support systems of traditional publishing. To have this story stand out among so many talented writers is incredibly meaningful to me.”
In addition to the Lord & Lady Hetheridge series, Jameson is also the author of the Dr. Benjamin Bones Mysteries, set in wartime Cornwall, and the Jem Jago series, set in the Isles of Scilly. Across her body of work, she is known for crafting immersive, character-driven mysteries that balance suspense with warmth, humor, and emotional depth.
This latest recognition further cements Jameson’s place as a standout voice in modern crime fiction—and a favorite among readers who crave intelligent, engaging mysteries with heart.

A Letter to My Readers (March 2025)
First, I’d like to thank you all for your kind words, loyalty, and patience. Especially patience!
Second, allow me to thank you for buying one of my books or checking one out from the library. Events beyond our control are hitting authors, especially independent authors like me, hard. When you buy one of my books, or a library stocks one of my books, it makes it possible for me to continue writing for publication.
New readers always ask, “Will there be more Lord & Lady Hetheridge books?”
Yes, absolutely. I can’t imagine myself without the Hetheridges. Even as I get ready to publish London Blue, a tiny glimmer of book nine, Bolt from the Blue, is forming in the back of my mind.
New readers also ask, “What else have you written?”
I’m thrilled to tell you about the Dr. Benjamin Bones Mysteries. Set in 1940s Cornwall, they follow the adventures of Ben Bones, a young doctor chosen by his government to serve a rural community during World War II. As the widower and native Londoner adjusts to life in the tiny village of Birdswing, where the tiniest nugget of gossip can keep tongues wagging for weeks, he meets a fiery aristocrat named Lady Juliet. Together, they discover a taste for solving mysteries—and love along the way. Packed with great characters, a sweeping romance, and complex mysteries, the Dr. Benjamin Bones series is a perfect choice for anyone waiting (patiently or impatiently) for another Hetheridge book.
I’m also starting a new adventure-mystery series called Skullduggery. Populated with Brits, Americans, cryptid monsters, phantasms, and an ancient society beneath the oceans, it’s a story I’ve been working on for twenty-five years. I can’t wait for you to read book one, Hunting the Beast, which will arrive in 2025.
I also write the Jem Jago Mysteries, published by Bookouture. Set in the Isles of Scilly, an English archipelago off the coast of Cornwall, it concerns Jemima Jago—librarian, thirty-something singleton, and intrepid amateur sleuth. There are five books in all, and they contain some of my funniest scenes.
